Raptor Perches
Encourage raptors to your property and increase their hunting success by installing strategically placed raptor perches.
Raptor perches are readily used by resident raptors including American kestrels, barn owls, great horned owls, red-tailed and red-shouldered hawks.
Perches should stand about 15' to 20' high and be orientated on an east-west axis, slightly north of the intended hunting grounds.
When available, we use sustainably collected or harvested hardwood branches rather than commercial poles.
